More than 30 years ago GNS developed a new cask type for transport and interim storage of spent fuel, the CASTOR®. Today the various types of CASTOR® are internationally recognized trademarks for nuclear safety and innovation.

Besides the well-known CASTOR®-casks, GNS engineers have also developed the CONSTOR® product line for spent fuel as well as a series of other casks for all kinds of radioactive material. Our product range goes from 200-l-drums with special lids to containers with various sizes up to heavy shielding casks. All of these casks are qualified for international transports and comply the respective requirements. For example the MOSAIK®-casks for ILW fulfill the highest requirements for Type B(U) package design approval.
